Well, the pregnancy issues are kind of getting to me. I really dislike the fact that I'm always hungry, even if I just ate a large breakfast only two hours earlier. It's getting annoying that most of my pants don't fit anymore, or are tight, when according to the scale I have not gained more than a pound in the last month. The bloody cravings for triple thick milkshakes from McDonald's is driving me bonkers. The lectures over my smoking were bothersome before I found out I was pregnant, now they're enough to piss off a saint. The mood swings will either get me fired or drive away everyone I've ever been friends with. Or both. The not being able to take Advil when I need to...downright horrific. I don't know about the rest of you, but I rely very heavily on my painkillers for my arthritis. And let's not forget my favorite issue: I'm down to one, maybe, two cups of coffee a day...with barely half the sugar I'm used to. Ouch.

But, despite all that, I'm still over the moon happy. I sometimes find myself grinning for no reason at all when out of the blue I remember that in just over five months or so I'm going to be a mom.

I called my mother's sister over the weekend to tell her the news. I haven't really been able to call before now because it's long distance and I haven't wanted to add to my current bills anymore than necessary. Of course, she's happy for me and all, but that didn't stop her from giving me a guilt trip about not staying in touch with my grandfather before he died. Thanks, Aunt P. I really appreciate that. But she did give me my brother's new phone number so that's all good. I can put up with any amount of guilt for that.

I haven't gotten to call him yet because my phone was out of service the rest of the night due to my cell company performing upgrades. Damn bastards. I can't wait to tell him he's going to be an uncle. He's going to be so happy.

News Item of Interest: A judge has ruled that it is not illegal for canadians to download music off the internet. Apparently the copyright laws in Canada are not the same as in the states which means that they can't sue individuals for downloading. Of course, this just means that now they're going to push for harsher copyright laws up here. So you know this won't last long.

I'm sure this was a big relief to all those John and Jane Does they were planning on suing.

In any case, nothing much new is going on in my neck of the woods. My doctor's appointment is the 13th and my ultrasound is the 22nd. I'm sure I'll more to tell about those incidents. Til then...
