Well, I'm feeling much more rested. Then again I had two naps already today and I slept about 7 hours last night as well.

The shower was good. A lot of people didn't show. I've since been told that more than a few of them didn't want to come empty-handed. End of the month bills are a real problem up here. I'm not mad about that. I'm sorry they felt they couldn't come without a gift. It would have been a lot more fun with more people.

Apparently I'll be getting a lot of visits in the next few weeks from those that couldn't attend. They will be dropping things off at my house. I'm kind of looking forward to it even though I know that all that entertaining will be a little draining. I enjoy having company. And it's a pretty rare thing really.

Today I've been trying to make room for all the shower gifts. And I haven't made much progress. I really hope we hear from council soon about housing. I had to move the rest of the boxes in my room out into the hallway. Now I have two piles of boxes outside my bedroom door. And not much extra room.

Unfortuantely, only 2 of the pictures came out. And they were both pretty similar. What can I say? My camera doesn't like other people suing it. I'll get some more soon.

Sonya and Lisa were great at the shower. Even though Lisa is still kind of clueless about baby showers, I have to admit that she did a decent job. She does have to learn how to manage her time better though. And Sonya was incredible. She worked until midnight the night before the shower, went home and cooked until 3am, got up and went to work for 8am, then came right to the gym to help set up at 1:30pm. Poor thing, I'm surprised she didn't drop from exhaustion.

After relaxing for a few hours, Sonya came over and we sat around watching a movie and drinking beer. I was allowed to have 1. I drank it slow, savoring every last drop. First beer I've had in the last 7 months, not counting the 3 sips I was allowed in the last three months.

I should probably get back to organising. Who would have thought that one person could accumulate so much junk?
