I can't believe I went so long without posting. I really should have I know. But this motherhood thing is very time consuming for us newbies.

Brief updates: My cousin is still in shock over what she did. And hasn't, as far as I know, had her arraignment. Things have settled down on the reserve, thankfully. It was beginning to feel like everyone was walking on eggshells around here.

Had to switch doctors. Meaghan's doctor was an ass and I refused to take her back to him. So my pre-natal doctor referred me to someone new. We see them on Monday for the first time. She's got her immunizations on Friday. I'm not looking forward to that. She's already teething.

Looks like we can't have her christened. The Father won't let us because I'm not Catholic and I refuse to convert. Can you imagine?! He actually said that I was incapable of raising my daughter as a catholic because I wasn't one. Even though all four of her godparents are catholic, we live with catholics, and about 85% of our community are catholic. Not to mention that I grew up with catholics and probably know more about the religion than most of the catholics on the reserve. We're hoping that we can get his replacment to do it in January when he goes on sabbatical.

She's getting so big now. Her weight is somewhere around 12-13 pounds. I won't have an exact figure until friday. It's all solid too. She's not fat, well...'cept her chubby cheeks. And she's actually sleeping in her bassinet now instead of with me. I kind of miss it but it's better in the long run. And I'll still keep her in with me when she's really fussy. Breastfeeding, we've hit some hurdles. We're working hard to get by them but it's slow going. I'm not giving up yet.

Well, that's about it from Babyland. My life is pretty boring now, as if it wasn't before.
